GENERAL CHECK LIST PROCESS
Step 1 Secure your location with signed contract and deposit
Step 2 Obtain a vendor location map signed by the property owner or manager (this will be sent to you by our staff once you have a completed contract)
Step 3 Obtain a temporary South Dakota sales tax license
Step 4 Vending in City Limits: Apply for a City of Sturgis vendors license (After receiving your sales tax license & location map)
If you are a food vendor, you will need a temporary food service license and inspection from the South Dakota Department of Health. Complete these required forms prior to setting up to save you time so you can be ready to sell sooner.
